Paul Zupkas, Ph.D.

Dr. Zupkas is a Division of Urology research scientist who specializes in biomedical engineering. His interest lies in the development of advanced techniques and instrumentation for use in medicine. He has published and holds patents in many different areas of medicine. His current interests include cryosurgery, morphology of the bladder vasculature, and bladder permeability defects.

 

Dr. Zupkas serves as co-investigator on many of the ongoing research projects in the Division of Urology, including Dr. C. Lowell Parsons’ studies of new methods for diagnosing and treating interstitial cystitis and Dr. Kyoko Sakamoto’s analysis of the vascular morphology of the bladder wall.
